The Digital Salon of Allan Revich

Acrylic on Canvas Paintings

The works exhibited below are original acrylic paintings on gallery stretched canvas. They are painted with a contemporary postmodern approach to visual art, and they combine the energy and expressiveness of Abstract Expressionism with conceptual rigor. Despite being thoroughly contemporary, these paintings are meant to be appreciated by real people and to be "nice to look at". The neutral color palette combined with iconoclastic imagery assure that these paintings will look great in almost any setting.

Prices for original paintings are very reasonable. Enquiries from professional Interior Designers and Decorators are always welcome. E-mail Allan Revich for purchase information.

Fluxus Intermedia Paintings

The first works exhibited below are mixed media/Intermedia works that combine text, collage, acrylic paint, and digital images on gallery stretched canvas. The 6 inches by 6 inches works are on gallery quality 1.5 inch stretchers with finished edges, and the 10 inch by 8 inch works are on 3/4 inch stretchers, so no frames are required.

The Fluxus artistic philosophy can be expressed as a synthesis of four key factors:

  1. Fluxus is an attitude. It is not a movement or a style.
  2. Fluxus is intermedia. Fluxus creators like to see what happens when different media intersect. They use found and everyday objects, sounds, images, and texts to create new combinations of objects, sounds, images, and texts.
  3. Fluxus works are simple. The art is small, the texts are short, and the performances are brief.
  4. Fluxus is fun. Humour has always been an important element in Fluxus.
